Thomas Winter, 39, has been named the Vice President of Online Gaming for Golden Nugget Casino to support owner Landry’s Inc.’s plans to enter the online gambling market in Nevada and New Jersey.Winter was on staff at Betclic as chief operating officer and chief executive officer.Steve Scheinthal, executive vice president and general counsel for Landry’s said, “U.S. casino operators are tapping European executives to draw on their expertise in an industry that is legally established in 10 countries”.Golden Nugget has been struggling and is reportedly hearing acquisition proposals. Investment bank Houlihan Lokey reportedly has something in the works for unidentified clients.
